In 2006, Sergiu, the founder of AMZgemz, started selling fine jewelry on eBay. Back then, it was the golden era for online jewelry retail - no competition, many opportunities, and loyal customers who didn’t have enough choices.

The Blue Nile opened the gate for selling expensive jewelry online, and Amazon followed. Sergiu successfully launched a few private-labeled jewelry brands, and he was among the first to be invited to sell on Amazon.

Over the years, we sold the products on all other jewelry platforms like Overstock.com, Etsy.com, Walmart.com, and successfully launched a couple of Shopify stores. We’ve sold over $100,000,000 worth of jewelry online for our clients.

In 2016, the company got acquired. Over the years, we made many mistakes and learned a lot of “lessons.” Recently more and more manufacturers from China decided to start selling fine jewelry directly on Amazon, and competition started to pile up. Instead of competing with them, Sergiu chose to pivot the company and created AMZgemz. He now uses all the knowledge and connections gathered over a decade to guide and help jewelry stores, manufacturers, wholesalers, and jewelry brands to embrace eCommerce successfully.
